Crispy Pizza Wrap For the Pizza Lovers
Pizza is one of those foods that most people like. Some, like me, love pizza in almost any form. Some are adamant lovers and only want the traditional round pizza.
Most people have their own set of favorite pizza toppings. Melted mozzarella, spicy pepperoni, mushrooms, flaky Parmesan, red peppers, and a bit of pizza sauce are my “perfect” toppings. I will add or omit toppings depending on my mood.
The thing I love about pizza, especially those that can be personalized for each person without much effort, is that you can please even the picky eaters. Varying the ingredients for this crispy pizza wrap is super easy!

Pizza is one of my family’s favorites. We buy pizza from our local pizza restaurant. Sometimes we make our own. Often we cook frozen ones. Palermos is my favorite. We also, at times, want just a one-person serving.
Crispy pizza wrap is a delicious and easy-to-make recipe that combines the flavors of pizza with the convenience of a wrap. If you do not like pepperoni, you can top it with sausage, Canadian bacon, chicken, mushrooms, etc. They make a great meal specialized to each individual’s taste.
I love these wraps for a quick hot lunch. My husband and I make ours quickly in the skillet and enjoy a fresh lunch to our liking.
Ingredient Notes
- Flour tortillas: These can be bought pre-cooked, or you can purchase the ones that need to be cooked on a skillet. I usually purchase Mission brand flour tortillas. I prefer the pre-cooked ones for these pizza wraps.
- Mozzarella cheese: Pre-shredded mozzarella cheese is my choice for this. You could buy a block of it and shred or slice it if you desire. I prefer the shredded. Pre-shredded makes it easy to grab and add to this recipe without the extra shredding steps.
- Pizza sauce: Ragu pizza sauce is the sauce that my family prefers. You can try and see what you choose is the best. There are many brands, or you could make your own. Any will do.
- Toppings: The good thing about this is you can choose your toppings. Typically, we use Hormel pepperoni.
- Parmesan cheese: The grated Parmesan jar for pizza toppings is my go-to. You could buy actual block Parmesan and grate it yourself, or you can buy shredded Parmesan. Again, the choice is up to you.
- Red pepper flakes: My husband and I love the added spice of the red pepper flakes; this is entirely optional, but it adds great flavor to the pizza wrap.

Crispy Pizza Wrap
Equipment
- 1 skillet
Ingredients
- ¼ teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 flour tortilla
- 1 tablespoon pizza sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- 5 pepperoni slices or other toppings
- ⅛ cup Parmesan cheese grated
- red pepper flakes to taste
Instructions
- Lightly grease a skillet and warm it at medium heat. Dump the mozzarella into the skillet.
- Top the cheese with a flour tortilla.
- Gently mash the tortilla onto the cheese. Twist to swivel the cheese on the skillet. Once the cheese starts to bubble and produce oil around the edges of the tortilla, flip the tortilla.
- Top the mozzarella with the desired amount of pizza sauce.
- Top with pepperoni slices and/or other desired toppings.
- Add Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes, if desired.
- Roll each side of the tortilla to create a wrap.
- Brown the tortilla until it is golden brown.
- Remove the pizza wrap from the skillet and serve.
